GIRLS ON THE RUN OF WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA

Gamma Phi Beta's signature philanthropy event hosted each spring as a kickball tournament to support our national philanthropic partner, Girls On The Run. This event brings together organizations within UNCA as well as members of the community at large. In 2019 Gamma Phi Beta was able to raise over five thousand dollars for Girls On The Run of WNC! This year we are hoping to be even more successful.

Gamma Phi Beta is the proud exclusive National Panhellenic Conference National Sponsor of Girls on the Run International, a nonprofit organization that inspires 3rd to 8th grade girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running.
Gamma Phi Beta is passionate about our philanthropic focus because we know today's girls face more challenges than ever, making the need for a safe place with supportive mentors even greater. Gamma Phi Beta women are actively involved with Girls On The Run of WNC through coaching local teams, volunteering with the biannual 5ks, and attending and volunteering with Girls On The Run events. Girls need women in their lives who can help them develop the skills to succeed in life. Gamma Phi Betas are those women.
